Dr. Hilaire Pressley graduated with honors from University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1996. She received her Bachelor of Science in Integrative and Organismal Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She continued her education at the University of Houston College of Optometry receiving her Doctorate in Optometry in 2001. Dr. Pressley completed a residency, through Pacific University, in Ocular Disease, Refractive and Ocular Surgery in 2002. She has worked closely with the Lions Club traveling to Villahermosa, Mexico to deliver eye care for over 400 less fortunate and homeless individuals and is an Ophthalmic Associate with Research to Prevent Blindness.

Dr. Pressley has been a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) since 1997 and a member of the Nevada Optometric Association (NOA) since 2001. Dr. Pressley served as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Nevada Optometric Association from 2009-2011 and is currently the President-Elect of the NOA. She was recently elected Vice-Chair for the NOA’s Political Action Committee (NOA-PAC). Dr. Pressley practices full scope primary eye care including ocular disease, pediatrics, advanced contact lens fittings, geriatric care and she offers pre and post operative care for cataract and refractive procedures. She has a special interest in anterior segment/ corneal pathology and management. In 2011 Dr. Pressley received the distinguished Presidential award from the AOA-PAC. In 2012 she became the first—and currently the only—Doctor of Optometry in the State of Nevada to be a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.

Dr. Pressley was born and raised in Las Vegas and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. She enjoys many activities outside of work. She is a competitive kettlebell weight lifter and is a rank one athlete with the American Kettlebell Club. Dr. Pressley enjoys all sorts of physical activity including hiking, foot-biking, weight lifting and horseback riding. She has been married to her husband, Michael for 4 years and they have 3 adorable furry felines that keep them busy! Together they enjoy traveling, going to concerts and dining out at the wonderful restaurants Las Vegas has to offer.
